Soccer activities continue to move
aggressively. Our league is in the final leg of the 2020 Liguilla that will be
completed after the health situation related to COVID-19 is over. Then the
winner of the Liguilla will face the winner of the Robin round, the undefeated
Island United AC to determine the season champion.Several of our teams are playing in the
South Florida Champions Cup and doing well. Furthermore, the BOD of the League
decided to expand and improve competition for the 2020-2021 season. A team administrator will be appointed, and the league will offer full-year
competition in a very attractive, innovative format. You will love it !!
Inter Miami lose but show encouraging signs on MLS
debut
FINALLY, we have an MLS team locally!!
Inter Miami CF made its debut playing one of the best teams in the league at their home
stadium. A very difficult situation for a new team with only weeks of preparation.
Los Angeles FC won the match 1-0 with a great goal by superstar, Mexican
center forward Carlos Vela. Despite the loss, Inter Miami
played a good game. There are many interesting players in the team such as Matias Pellegrini
and Nico Figal, both young Argentines , Mexican superstar Rodolfo
Pizarro and former Clemson 21-year-old striker Robbie
Robinson. The Inter goalie, Luis Robles is excellent. The team is coached by
Uruguayan Diego Alonso, who just recently took the helm of the team.
