FLORIDA GOLD COAST LEAGUEThe Florida Gold Coast League (FGCL) is the longest running premier adult mens soccer league in South Florida. It has been in operation, without interruptions, since 1973 and in recent years the league fully integrated with the Soccer Development League (formerly the USSF under 23 league) establishing a league that attracts younger players who by participating in our competitions are able to move quickly to collegiate, semi-pro and professional levels of play.
Recently, the Board of Directors of the league approved a rebranding initiative - which included new logo and a name change to the Florida Gold Coast League - in order to reflect the highly competitive level of adult soccer offered by the league in the South Florida market.
In addition to year-round league play, FGCL teams are eligible to compete in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup as well as in various domestic and international tournaments and exhibitions matches.
The FGCL is fully affiliated with the Florida State Soccer Association, United States Adult Soccer Association and US Soccer, and has formed working partnerships with other local leagues such as CASA and APSL.
We anticipate running both a Premier Men’s Division and a Premier Women’s Division, and become a showcase for pro and collegiate soccer in the region.
The FGCL will continue offering a professional, friendly style of operation aimed to assist clubs by reducing unnecessary administrative procedures and costs, and to concentrate in developing teams and players for the good of soccer in South Florida and the United States.
We invite Clubs from South Florida to join us and to be part of this progressive organization that promotes competitive soccer in our community.
